Austin graduated from the University of Missouri in 2018 with his Bachelor’s in Journalism and an emphasis in Strategic Communications.

While attending college he worked in the Strategic Communications department in the Office of Institutional Equity (formerly the Office of Civil Rights & Title IX) as a graphic designer. Post graduation he moved to Los Angeles to begin working with a small company as a senior designer.

Shortly after, he began working with TAAC Naturals, a cannabis startup that was focused on creating luxury brands for the space. Austin helped develop the brands vision, voice, aesthetics, and personality. His responsibilities included
